The South Webster Jeeps waltzed into their matchup Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Oak Hill 57-17 at home. South Webster might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by 32 points or more this season.
South Webster's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Skylar Zimmerman led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Zimmerman has scored at least 25% of South Webster's points. Isabella Claxon was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
South Webster is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Oak Hill, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
South Webster will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Rock Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Hill will finish 2023 at home by hosting River Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. River Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Oak Hill in Ohio (River Valley is ranked 274th, while Oak Hill is ranked 799th).
