The St. John's Cadets will head out on the road to  square off against  the Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs at 4:00  p.m.  on Sunday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 St. John's is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of District of Columbia's top teams: National Cathedral, who was ranked third in their home state at the time (St. John's was ranked second). St. John's blew past National Cathedral 10-2. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for St. John's.
  Charlotte Lacey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on six hits and racked up eight Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Devyn Johnson was  incredible,  going 4-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Cameran Corbett was another key contributor,  going 1-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  stolen base.
 Meanwhile, Georgetown Visitation Prep had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by  a  16-8 margin over Jackson-Reed on Thursday.
  Lila Easton and  Sophia Brinkman made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing,  Easton   pitched 4.1 innings while giving up  three earned  (and five unearned) runs off   five  hits. Meanwhile,  Brinkman   pitched 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Easton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Easton  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4, while  Brinkman  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.
 In other batting news,  Lucie Touomou was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with a  home run, four  runs,  and five  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Caitlin O'Connor, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
 St. John's pushed their record up to 13-8 with that  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record  this season.
 Sunday's   matchup will be a test for both team's pitchers. St. John's hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like Georgetown Visitation Prep struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
