The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pecos, who took down 402nd ranked Pecos, 21-17.
Clint moved up to 623 from 679 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Region I District 3. The Lions climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Eagles 21-17.
Mountain View's Armando Anchondo and Adrian Vargas have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Anchondo has thrown for 904 yards this season, while Vargas, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 31 catches for 532 yards. Clint's Daniel Vasquez leads the league in rushing yards with 762.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rosvel Martinez's team takes on Fabens. The Lions are in second place, while the Wildcats are in fourth place.
Clint and Pecos played the most hotly contested game in 3A Region I District 3 this week, with Clint eventually emerging with a 21-17 victory.
