Jacari Barnett Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Elbert County's Jacari Barnett, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Barnett rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (106.4) per game. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 130 rushing yards.
The victory got Elbert County back to even at 4-4. Barnett and Elbert County will take on Athens Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Reid Giles Turns in Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns
Reid Giles continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fourth-straight game with at least two rushing touchdowns. He made four total tackles. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 64 yards.
Rabun County pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Giles and Rabun County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Elbert County at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

Jamari Welch Goes Supernova in Athens Academy Win
Jamari Welch was instrumental in extending Athens Academy's winning streak to eight on Friday. Nobody could stop Welch as he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 97 yards.
Providence Christian Academy had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Welch it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Welch saw the Storm), he rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.

Big Game from Evans As Rabun County Won 48-14
The second Rabun County player making an appearance here is Lake Evans, and for good reason. He rushed for 59 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.
