For Nebraska City, this counts as revenge for the 53-46 loss Raymond Central walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Kalan Fritch had a dynamite game for Nebraska City, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Kaiden Klassen was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Raymond Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Dubas, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Reid Otto, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Nebraska City's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15. As for Raymond Central, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
Nebraska City will take on Fort Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Calhoun is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season. As for Raymond Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lakeview at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Raymond Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Thursday.
