Benedictine has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Benedictine pushed their score all the way to 61 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 82-61 loss at the hands of Euclid.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kris Smith, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Noah Whisler, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin had to suffer through a rough 67-36 loss at the hands of Walsh Jesuit. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin has scored all season.
Benedictine has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
Benedictine beat Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin 68-56 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Benedictine since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
