Krum is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will head out on the road to square off against the Caddo Mills Foxes at 7:00 p.m. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,115 yards in their previous games.
Caddo Mills will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Krum extended their winning streak to three on Friday. Everything went the Bobcats' way against Ranchview as they made off with a 69-44 victory. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Wolves are ranked 693rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Krum's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Holland, who rushed for 210 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Holland was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Mateo Gonzalez was in the mix as well, providing Krum with two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Krum was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 473 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 183 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Caddo Mills beat Brownsboro 52-45 on Friday.
Krum better keep an eye on Kollin Heath. He was instrumental in Caddo Mills' win, picking up 87 receiving yards and one score.
One reason for the win was Caddo Mills' imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Corbin Kemp, Griffin Carter, and Tripp Welch, who each picked up one sack apiece. Donald Pierson was another major factor on D, making 18 total tackles.
Krum's record now sits at 3-0. As for Caddo Mills, their record is now 3-1.
Everything went Krum's way against Caddo Mills in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Krum made off with a 55-35 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Foxes' Holden Bremer, who rushed for 237 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 54 receiving yards. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Bobcats to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
