With a playoff win on the line, Lake Howell rose to the challenge on Monday. Everything went their way against the Mainland Buccaneers as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Silverhawks as they're now sitting on three straight.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lake Howell was: they took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-6, 25-8.
Natasha Casey paced Lake Howell's offense, picking up 13 kills. Casey got some help from Gladianis Agosto Rivera and her 12 assists. Gianna Pina controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.
Lake Howell's win bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Mainland, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-20.
Lake Howell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Winter Springs on the 14th. Mainland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
