A well-balanced attack led Garfield over Newton Falls in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. The Garfield G-Men blew past the Newton Falls Tigers 39-16. The G-Men have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Mandy Cardinal was her usual excellent self, going 5 of 9 on her way to 13 points along with five assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kolby Fresch, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Garfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Garfield's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Newton Falls, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Garfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-38 loss against Cardinal on the 1st. Newton Falls has also already played their next matchup, a 38-33 victory against Ravenna on the 1st.
