Atlanta Hawks forward and former Kentucky Wildcat Kevin Knox
made a large donation to help fund a basketball facility at his former high school, according to Prime Time Preps
Knox contributed $2 million of the $6 million to construct Kevin Knox II Field House at Tampa Catholic (Tampa, Fla.)
, where he starred from 2014-17 before going on to play one season at the University of Kentucky.
The construction includes a new gym, state-of-the-art fitness center, Hall of Fame Pavilion, Champions Hall, coaching suites, video scoreboard, men's and women's locker rooms, bleachers and concessions.
The lobby includes a mural that features a collage of Knox with the Crusaders, USA Basketball, Kentucky and the NBA's New York Knicks.
When Knox signed a shoe deal with Puma his rookie season, Tampa Catholic received $10,000 worth of gear for the next four years.
