James Marcotte Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Lyndon was led to victory by James Marcotte, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Marcotte rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 76 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (110.4) per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
For the season, Marcotte has caught those 2 touchdowns while averaging 23 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 3.2 rushing yards per game.

Kasen Parsons Goes Supernova in Osage City Win
Kasen Parsons put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80.6% of his passes.
Parsons must have Council Grove's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Parsons rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 125 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Braves duked it out back in November of 2023.

Elijah Feltner Makes It Two for Lyndon
The second Lyndon player making an appearance here is Elijah Feltner, and for good reason. He rushed for 31 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
This year, Feltner has thrown 9 touchdowns while averaging 88.4 passing yards per game.

Jude Meseke was a major factor in Wabaunsee's victory over Cair Paravel on Friday. Meseke turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 3.5 sacks and making eight total tackles (4.0 for loss).
This season, Meseke has averaged 6.6 total tackles per game and for the season has 8.5 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he had two sacks.

Ace Monihen Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Ace Monihen of Council Grove. Monihen rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.
The loss snapped Council Grove's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record. Monihen and Council Grove will be playing at home against Central Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
