That makes it four consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least 25% of Overbrook's points. Another player making a difference was Tahmiere Manning, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals.
Meanwhile, Franklin Towne waltzed into their contest Thursday with five straight wins but they left with six. They walked away with a 70-62 win over Freire Charter. Given Franklin Towne's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Freire Charter is ranked 574th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Franklin Towne's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Leaks, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Josh Skeete was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
The victory got Overbrook back to even at 4-4. As for Franklin Towne, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Friday's game is shaping up to be a scrappy matchup: Overbrook have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 29.8 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Franklin Towne, though, as they've been averaging only 20.9 rebounds per game.
