The MacArthur Brahmas will head out on the road to square off against the Winn Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. MacArthur is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
MacArthur was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Harlandale on Friday. MacArthur's pitcher stepped up to hand Harlandale a 15-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Brahmas considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
The result came thanks to Kaylin Salazar's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Katelin Keller was a standout: she scored four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Neira, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
MacArthur hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Winn's offense. They lost 11-0 to South San Antonio on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mavericks in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost six in a row.
Winn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julee Salinas, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Winn's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for MacArthur, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9-1.
Winn's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: MacArthur hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. It's a different story for Winn, though, as they've only averaged .252. Will they be able to contain MacArthur's hitters?
MacArthur was able to grind out a solid win over Winn in their previous meeting back in February, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for MacArthur since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
