After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Parkway North brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Everything went their way against the Ritenour Huskies on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-1 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Evan Marsh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.
On the hitting side, Parkway North let Christian Washington and Phillip Dekinder run wild. Washington scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Dekinder scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those stolen bases marked the first that Washington snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Cameron Frierson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
