The Rushville-Industry Rockets lost to the Astoria/VIT Rebels back in January of 2023, but the Rushville-Industry Rockets didn't allow the Astoria/VIT Rebels the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Rushville-Industry walked away with a 48-35 win over the Rebels. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rushville-Industry.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaden Foglesong, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Sherrod, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Rushville-Industry's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Astoria/VIT, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 9-13.
Rushville-Industry will square off against the Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Astoria/VIT, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Illinois (Cuba/Spoon River Valley is ranked 609th, while the Rebels are ranked 619th).
