The Heavener Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panama Razorbacks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Heavener won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were dealt a 65-37 defeat at the hands of Stigler. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Heavener has scored all season.
Jackson Clubb put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zaid Rodriguez, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Panama's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Pocola on the road and fell 93-49. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Panama in their matchups with Pocola: they've now lost four in a row.
Heavener's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Panama, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
Heavener was able to grind out a solid victory over Panama in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 50-37. Will Heavener repeat their success, or does Panama have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
