The Echols County Wildcats's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top against Aucilla Christian by a score of 62-55. Echols County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the loss, Aucilla Christian still got an impressive performance from Ethan Bass, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. That's the first time this season that Bass pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jacob Flynt, who scored 11 points.
Echols County's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Aucilla Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Echols County will be playing in front of their home fans against Charlton County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Charlton County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for Aucilla Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Cornerstone Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
