The Monarch Knights lost a heartbreaker to the Cooper City Cowboys when they met back in January of 2021, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. Monarch fell 64-57 to Cooper City. Monarch has not had much luck with Cooper City recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Monarch still got an impressive performance from Cody Dinnall, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kensey Bewley , who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Monarch bumped their record down to 3-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Cooper City, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Monarch will be staying on the road on December 28th to face off against Highlands Christian at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Highlands Christian is ranked 555th, while Monarch is ranked 560th). Cooper City and Palm Beach Central will round out the year against one another at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th at.
