Kennedy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Kenwood on Friday. The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Broncos. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jaida Rebolledo was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Gisella Lopez also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Kennedy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .769. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory was the third in a row for Kennedy, bringing their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Kenwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Kennedy has already played their next game, a 7-4 defeat against Curie on the 19th. Hopefully Kenwood paid attention to the Crusaders' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
