Make it 11 blowout wins for the Woodward Academy War Eagles this season. They took their matchup on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 71-7 win over Forest Park. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-3.
Woodward Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kameron Herring, who scored 17 points along with nine assists and seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Herring posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauryn Cooper, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Woodward Academy pushed their record up to 16-5 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Forest Park, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Coincidentally, Woodward Academy and Forest Park will both be playing Mundy's Mill the next time they take the court. Forest Park will head out to face Mundy's Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Woodward Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
