After flying high against New Bloomfield  on Thursday, North Callaway came back down to earth. The Thunderbirds took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cuba Wildcats on Friday. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
 Rylee Horstman paced North Callaway's offense, picking up five kills. Horstman got some help from  Lauren Pezold and her four assists.
North Callaway's loss dropped their record down to 14-9-2. As for Cuba, the  win was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7-1.
 North Callaway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  victory against Dixon on the 10th. As for Cuba, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  1-1  draw against Steelville on the 11th.
