The Udall Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Sedan with a 49-43 win. That's another feather in the cap for Udall, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Udall found their leader in underclassman Lilly Hoffman, who scored 27 points along with five steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Hoffman posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayl Knapp, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Udall's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. As for Sedan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Udall will challenge the Dragons on Monday. Belle Plaine is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Sedan, they will head out on the road to square off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cedar Vale/Dexter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Tuesday.
