The Friends Select Falcons will face off against Westtown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Friends Select turned things around against Academy of the New Church on Friday. They skirted past the Lions 7-6. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
David Ryan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ryan was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Miles Lesser was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Friends Select is 2-1 when Lesser posts two or more runs, but 0-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jules Parisi, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Friends Select always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, Westtown never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Delaware County Christian with a sharp 10-0 win. Westtown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Coop Speacht, who gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Delaware County Christian off the board.
On the hitting side, Westtown got a massive performance out of James Kelleher, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Breydan Hossack, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Friends Select picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Westtown, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.
Friends Select came out on top in a nail-biter against Westtown when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 8-7. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will Westtown turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
