Wilson Magnet scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the World of Inquiry Griffins by a score of 66-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since February 1st.

World of Inquiry's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaedon Adams led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Kanaz Linder, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards.

Wilson Magnet's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for World of Inquiry, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson Magnet will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Early College at 6:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. World of Inquiry will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Varsity Opponent at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
