The Bonanza Bengals will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners at 6:30 p.m. Bonanza will be strutting in after a victory while Southeast Career Tech will be coming in after a defeat.
After only 18 points in their last matchup, Bonanza made sure to put some points up on the board against Amplus Academy on Friday. Bonanza strolled past Amplus Academy with points to spare, taking the game 55-37.
Meanwhile, Southeast Career Tech came up short against Somerset Academy Losee on Friday and fell 59-49. Southeast Career Tech has not had much luck with Somerset Academy Losee recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Southeast Career Tech's defeat came about despite a quality game from Morgan Sweet, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 21 rebounds. Sweet scored a full 51% of Southeast Career Tech's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The losses dropped Bonanza to 1-1 and Amplus Academy to 0-3.
