Adding to the longest winning streak in Greater Wichita City this week, Carroll beat Liberal 53-18. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Golden Eagles.
South lost to Northwest 68-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Deonta Thomas was a force in the backfield as East bested Southeast.
Thomas provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Aces topped the Golden Buffalo. Thomas' key target this week was Traevon McGarity, who caught 2 passes for 26 yards.
Kevin Folsom put up the best numbers in passing as the Grizzlies defeated the Titans. He finished with a total of 1 completions for 36 yards and 1 touchdown. Folsom's favorite target this week was Karol Williams, who caught 3 passes for 66 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Northwest's Erin Gaither and Williams have proven to be a lethal combination. Gaither has thrown for 880 yards this season, while Williams has 27 catches for 412 yards. Tre Griffin from Southeast leads the league in rushing with 1,183 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when South takes on West. The Cougars are in eighth place, while the Pioneers are in third place.
Kapaun Mt. Carmel and Central played the most contested game in Greater Wichita City this week, with Kapaun Mt. Carmel eventually emerging with a 40-35 victory.
