Even though the Meeteetse Longhorns have not done well against the Burlington Huskies recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Meeteetse came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 66-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ethan Salzman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with five assists and two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Max Potas, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.
Meeteetse has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Burlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Meeteetse won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the at 5:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Non Varsity Opponent is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Burlington, they and the Buckaroos will face off at 12:00 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kaycee is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
