Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dallas Christian). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 71-40 win over the Mount Vernon Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Chargers have posted since November 7th.

Dallas Christian was led to victory by Quintin Hankins and Cason Walker. Hankins almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, while Walker went 5 of 12 on his way to 17 points and seven steals. Hankins has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vernon Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Dallas Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Dallas Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Mount Vernon, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Dallas Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-49 loss against Lone Oak on the 13th. Mount Vernon will take on Prairiland in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
