After two games on the road, Sumner is heading back home. They will take on The Battle Ground Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sumner has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 244 points over their last six contests.
Sumner put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 47-8 victory over South Kitsap. With Sumner ahead 32-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Battle Ground fell victim to Camas' stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Papermakers, falling 28-0. While losing is never fun, Battle Ground can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Camas is ranked seventh).
Sumner has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Battle Ground, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.
