On Tuesday, Todd County Central came up short against Creek Wood and fell 54-42.
Todd County Central's loss came despite strong showings from Alexis Taylor and Abby Williams. Taylor scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds, while Williams scored 15 points. Taylor scored a full 33.3% of Todd County Central's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Todd County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Creek Wood, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Todd County Central will square off against Monroe County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Creek Wood, they will head out on the road to face off against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Creek Wood is ranked 80th).
