Crisfield and Pocomoke are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Crisfield Crabbers will be playing at home against the Pocomoke Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Crisfield's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Tuesday after their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell to Kent County 54-48.
Meanwhile, Pocomoke entered their tilt with Washington with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Pocomoke came out on top against Washington by a score of 64-57 on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Pocomoke found their leader in underclassman Michael Ames, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The game was Ames' third in a row with at least ten points. Zymiere Walker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Crisfield bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pocomoke, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0.
Crisfield was taken down by Pocomoke 81-35 in their previous meeting back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Crisfield was down 44-10.
