The Utah School for the Deaf & Blind Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by American Prep WV 40-5. Utah School for the Deaf & Blind lost against American Prep WV in their previous head to head last Monday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 35-10 score last time.
American Prep WV's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yom Mapuor, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Faith Parongwa, who scored ten points.
Utah School for the Deaf & Blind's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for American Prep WV, their victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.
Utah School for the Deaf & Blind will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Washington School for the Deaf at 8:00 a.m. on January 20, 2024. American Prep WV will be home for the holidays to greet Utah Military Academy - Hill Field at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
