The Dakota Cougars gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They came out on top against Oxford by a score of 40-30.
Dakota had a senior duo take command as Tambre Williams dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds and Samone Andrews scored 12 points along with 5 assists. Another player making a difference was Gabby Brooks-Foster, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.
Dakota's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Oxford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dakota will take on Cousino at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oxford, they will be playing at home against Davison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
