Lake Worth Christian won the last time they faced Palm Beach Lakes and things went their way on Thursday too. The Defenders were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Rams. The result was nothing new for the Defenders, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Mia Kruspe made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Teegan Summerill, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Kevin Ambroise was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Lake Worth Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palm Beach Lakes struck out 11 times.

The victory got Lake Worth Christian back to even at 7-7. As for Palm Beach Lakes, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Worth Christian will venture away from home to face off against Leonard at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Defenders are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they will head out to take on Sheridan Hills Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Sharks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.33 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
