On Wednesday, the Farmington Scorpions faced the Kirtland Central Broncos in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Farmington had just enough and edged Kirtland Central out 40-37. Winning may never get old, but Farmington sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Kapiolani Anitielu continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Caris Dale was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Farmington pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Kirtland Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tohatchi the next time they take the court. Farmington will host Tohatchi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Kirtland Central will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
