The Delphi Community Oracles are taking a road trip to square off against the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Kouts took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Delphi Community, who comes in off a win.
Delphi Community took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over Rensselaer Central. The Oracles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Keygan Elliott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Delphi Community let Xaine Tessier and Brett Huffman run wild. Tessier went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Huffman got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave Huffman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Hartley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Delphi Community always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Kouts didn't have quite enough to beat Boone Grove on Friday and fell 4-3. The contest marked the Mustangs & Fillies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Delphi Community moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Kouts, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
Delphi Community came up short against Kouts when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 7-2. Can the Oracles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
