The Beallsville Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. Their rough 68-45 loss to Bridgeport might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Beallsville of the 69-42 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Leading Bridgeport to victory were Jaki Threet and Jaleel Vincent. Threet went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 5 assists, while Vincent scored 22 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Threet has scored all season. Another player making a difference was AJ Gear, who scored five points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Beallsville's loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Bridgeport, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
Beallsville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hundred is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season. As for Bridgeport, they will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
