Chelsea handed starting duties to Grant Hill, who gave a strong showing despite the result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. What's more, Hill gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2025.
On the hitting side, Chelsea saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Garcia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Luke Neill also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
As for South Walton, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games.
