Concord came tearing into  Tuesday's  matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single  set of losing the streak, but they secured  a   2-1 W against the Homer Trojans. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Concord who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 23-25,  25-19.
 Annie Saenz paced Concord's offense, picking up 18 kills. Saenz got some help from  Bradie Lehman and her 25 assists.  Emma Burbo controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Concord's victory bumped their record up to 26-8-3. As for Homer, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 24-20-4 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  matches. Concord will venture away from home to  take on Napoleon  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Homer, they will head out to  square off against Centreville  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
