Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Calhoun County Saints  a   4-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for High Point Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 The result came thanks to  Julie Raines's shutout, as she gave up just four  hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Alyx Creel, who  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last seven games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Ella Zhuk, who  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI.
 On Calhoun County's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alexa Tamayo, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and a  double.
 High Point Academy pushed their record up to 11-8 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home. As for Calhoun County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
 High Point Academy will be playing at home against McBee at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. McBee will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something High Point Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Calhoun County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
