The Bristol Bay Angels waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 59-48 win over Koliganek. This was payback for Bristol Bay, who suffered a 48-35 loss the last time these two teams met.
Bristol Bay got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Keilan Wassillie out in front who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wassillie has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chad Anderson, who scored 16 points.
Bristol Bay's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-3. As for Koliganek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Bristol Bay will square off against the Huskies at TBD on Friday. As for Koliganek, they and the T-Jacks and Rookies will face off at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. King Cove has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 419 points over their last six matches.
