Gholson had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Mount Calm 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Gholson has posted since November 28, 2023.
Gholson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hunter Nors led the charge by scoring 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nors has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aaron Salinas, who scored 15 points.
The victory got Gholson back to even at 7-7. As for Mount Calm, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Aquilla the next time they take the court. Mount Calm will head out to face Aquilla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Gholson will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
