The Chancellor Chargers won against the Louisa County Lions last Friday with 50 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Chancellor walked away with a 50-38 victory over Louisa County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chancellor.
Chancellor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lydia Brockelbank led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 4 steals and 3 blocks. Brockelbank is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Lanning, who scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds and 6 steals.
Louisa County's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Yeatts, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals. Yeatts is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Amara Comfort, who scored 8 points.
Chancellor now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Louisa County, they have fallen quite a ways from their 23-4 record last season and are now at 1-2.
Chancellor will head out on the road to face off against Henrico at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Louisa County, they will be playing at home against Spotsylvania at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Spotsylvania is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
