Providence Hall fell victim to South Summit's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Wildcats 45-0. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 33-33 at halftime, American Leadership Academy was not quite Judge Memorial Catholic's equal in the second half on Thursday. American Leadership Academy lost to Judge Memorial Catholic on the road by a decisive 66-49 margin. Yes, you read that score correctly, and yes, they were playing football.
American Leadership Academy's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kannon Huntsman, who rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Nico Marble, who threw for 331 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt.
The losses dropped Providence Hall to 6-4 and American Leadership Academy to 1-9.
