When it comes to explaining why Tucumcari lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kamren Apodaca. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and seven blocks. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Rincones, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Tucumcari's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jal, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
