Baseball Recap: Heritage Hills Sets Scoring Season-High Against South Spencer

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage Hills). They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the South Spencer Rebels on Tuesday. Considering the Patriots have won ten matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Peyton Gray made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Gray was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Luke Krzykowski was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024. Micah Toler was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

Heritage Hills' record now sits at 18-7. As for South Spencer, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Looking ahead, Heritage Hills will venture away from home to face off against Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Spencer, they will welcome Jasper at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
