The Eastside Eagles lost against the Greer Yellow Jackets back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Eastside fell 48-37 to Greer. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eastside in their matchups with Greer: they've now lost seven in a row.
Eastside got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Kristen Mcbride and
Laila Harvey, who each put up seven points.
Eastside's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3. As for Greer, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastside will take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Riverside is ranked 13th, while Eastside is ranked 29th). As for Greer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Laurens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
