After flying high against the Galt Warriors last Tuesday, the Liberty Ranch Hawks came back down to earth. Liberty Ranch fell 61-51 to the Cougars on Friday. If Liberty Ranch was looking for revenge after losing 50-47 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Liberty Ranch's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yousef Diab, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Diab is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Elliott Hawker was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Liberty Ranch's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-18. As for El Dorado, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
Liberty Ranch will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Wolverine at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Rosemont is ranked 852nd, while the Hawks are ranked 833rd). As for El Dorado, they will head out on the road to face off against the The Pride at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bradshaw Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
