The North White Vikings will take on the Frontier Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
North White made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Winamac, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Vikings fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-2 on Monday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Kaylyn Applegate spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Melanie Crawford made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Frontier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 30th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Seeger, falling 31-18. Even if the Falcons couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Summer Kremer and Tatum Lear stepped up to the plate in a big way. Kremer fired off eight RBI, three doubles, and one triple while going 4-for-5, while Lear went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Lear also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Addi Govert was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Frontier's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for North White, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Frontier's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North White has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Frontier, though, as they've been averaging 10.5 hits. Given North White's sizable advantage in that area, the Falcons will need to find a way to close that gap.
North White was able to grind out a solid victory over Frontier when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
