Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hico). They blew past the Meridian Yellowjackets 22-0 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Mikaelynn Miles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Victoria Zuniga was a standout: she scored four runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Abella Garza, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.
